Hello

My name is Whitney Poe and I am a senior at IU- Indianapolis majoring Health Service Management at the Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health. My passion in healthcare is to improve quality of care and patient outcomes. My journey started at IU Methodist where I got hands-on experience in the clinical world as a Patient Care Technician. With greater knowledge of the inner workings of a hospital I was able to use my new skills and education to become an administrative pathway student for VA Medical Center in Indianapolis where I am gaining skills in project management, Human Resources, and everyday operations.

I am a highly driven and goal oriented individual who excels in a high pace environment. I enjoy working in collaborative groups and am always looking for ways I can better myself from the individuals around me. My career interest lies as an healthcare administrator exploring areas in acute care settings.
